One Week of Food Consumption, Jesse & James

 

*Homegrown (as organic as possible)

 Grains & Other Starchy Foods:
7 cups organic long-grain brown rice (3.5 cups dry)
4 org. potatoes*
1 cup buckwheat groats
3 cups gluten-free oatmeal
6 cups org. brown rice flour 
2.5 cups org. tapioca flour
1.5 cups org. white rice flour
1 cup pinto bean flour 
.5 c quinoa flour
3/4 cup cornmeal
1/4 c guar gum
1/3 c (aluminum free) baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
(these ingredients made 4 loaves bread, 1 pie crust (cherry pie), 1 cornbread and 1 dish of apple puffs)
 
Fruits, Vegetables, Nuts & Seeds:
2 T acerola powder
1.25 cups sunflower seed butter
1 cup celery tops*
1/2 cup fresh parsley*
7 org. bananas
2 spaghetti squash* (did not have at the time of the picture so I used buttercup squash instead)
4 org. pears
1/2 cup almonds
2 org. yams
6 org. plums
12 org. apples
1 acorn squash
4 lbs. org. carrots (some*)
2 cans unsweetened cherries (for cherry pie)
1 bag org. cranberries
2″ ginger root
1 cup org. shiitake mushrooms
5 org. onions
5 org. garlic cloves
1 big can org. crushed tomatoes
5 small tomatoes*
3 T dried oregano*
3 T dried basil*
2 T dried thyme*
1 bunch collards*
1 org. lemon
2 T sage* (most for burning)

 

Condiments & Sweeteners:
1/4 c celtic sea salt
2.5 T black pepper
1.25 cups maple syrup
3/4 cup raw honey
1/4 cup homemade mayo
1/4 cup storebought mustard
6 T maple sugar
1.5 t homemade vanilla
1 T raw vinegar
1/2 cup date sugar
1/4 cup olive oil
5 whole cloves
1/2 T ground cloves
1 stick cinnamon
1/4 T ground cinnamon
1t cardamom
1/2 t paprika
1/2 t coriander
1/2 t caraway
1/2 t cumin
1/2 t celery seed

 

Dairy:
1/2 lb raw Amish butter (picture shows Kate’s butter b/c we ran out of amish butter)
4 oz. swiss cheese
7 c whole yogurt
4 oz. creme fraiche

 

 
Meat, Fish & Eggs:
14 fish oil capsules, Carlson’s
31 cage-free eggs
2 lbs. ground free-range turkey
2 whole chickens
6 cups home-made chicken broth
1 lb. stew beef
1 lb. ground buffalo
1/4 cup bacon grease, from Amish nitrate-free bacon

 

Snacks & Desserts:
1 Larabar
1 cup popcorn kernels (making 3 bowls popcorn)

 

Prepared Food:
21 vitamin C pills
14 vitamin B complex pills
3 rice tortillas

 

Beverages:
2 gallons of homemade kombucha*
2 cups apple cider
mullein tea made with 7 mullein leaves*
3 store-bought kombuchas, Synergy
2 c fresh juice (apple, ginger, carrot, beet)
6 c seltzer
10 cups herbal tea (mint, peach, raspberry leaf)
7 gallons filtered water (probably more)

 

Restaurant Food:
1 breakfast burrito
1 croissant
1 chicken taco
4 beef tacos
1 quesadilla
1 bean & cheese burrito
1 house salad
4 cups chips & salsa

 

Miscellaneous:
5 cups cat food
